What you're really paying for: The hardware + subscription eliminates the expertise tax of self-hosting AI infrastructure. You're buying zero-touch BLE onboarding, guided Her-style setup, remote management, and managed public app hosting with TLS — not Raspberry Pi silicon. Free DIY alternatives (OpenWebUI, n8n, Dify) still require Docker, networking, manual config, and ongoing maintenance. qbit.me just works.
Optional add-on — Hosted VPS: Don't want to run your own hardware? Add a managed VPS.
$25/mo — 4GB RAM, 50GB storage  |  $75/mo — 8GB RAM, 100GB storage
Publishing apps to the web: Personal users can build and run apps privately on their appliance. Paid plans let you publish apps to a public web address — Professional includes up to 10, Business includes up to 50. Business plans can also use their own domain and share apps with specific teams.
Business collaboration: Business plans can create cross-organizational teams, invite users by their @qbit.me handle, and share published apps with team members only. Team and direct messages stay as agent-drafted attested drafts until you send them. Kanban boards track work across the team, with optional agent task execution you apply or reject. A shared calendar mirrors kanban due dates and shows team availability without exposing event details. Each Business organization can create up to 20 teams with up to 15 members each and includes 5 managed internal accounts. Joining a team is free for invited users on any tier.
BYOH* = Bring Your Own Host. Already have a Raspberry Pi, a Mac, or a Linux machine? Run our one-command installer and you're set. No hardware purchase needed. See Downloads for details.
